Dear Brothers and Sisters,
We are presently in Delhi, India. Right from the start, since we arrived a month ago, we have truly experienced Gods Divine Guidance to the lost and seeking souls in India.
We were quite shocked to notice the filth, poverty, disgusting smells, lack of hygiene, amount of people and the confusion. Beggars, crippled people, shop owners and taxi driver’s continuously pulling and shouting, are a daily occurrence. Fraud and well thought out group theft are something to be aware of. Jono was caught by the poo-shoe trick. While you are walking, someone will quickly and unnoticeable smear disgusting poo on your shoe and then notify you to clean the shoe for R20 or they pick pocket you.
We thank the Lord for the privilege of having traveled from town to town, ministered in churches and from home to home, edifying the Body of Christ. We could copy and sow many inspiring and motivational DVD’s, due to Jono’s laptop. Many times the Holy Spirit prompted us to minister to locals but specially tourists. There are many people in India for the sole reason of seeking for spiritual truth.
We had great opportunities of sharing the Gospel but there was quite a stirring in a town called, Sherenigar while sharing the Gospel with someone in the street, when a small group of radical Muslims started to scream “Allah is the only god!”. We then just kept on doing prayer-walk and could share the Gospel with the hostel owner. There were also some heated debates with some “intellectuals” and Hindus who believe in “enlightenment and reincarnation”.
Traveling in the north was difficult and extremely uncomfortable because there are no trains and we had to use local, overcrowded busses. This was quite an experience through the Himalayan Mountains as it was extremely cold and the busses kept breaking down.
There were many times that we really had to believe for God’s protection when we saw many wrecks of busses and trucks hundreds of meters down, while our busses’ wheels were literally millimeters from the cliff edge.
There were a couple of times where we were convicted by the Holy Spirit due to our disobedience or not taking opportunities to share about the love and realness of Jesus Christ. We truly asked for forgiveness and sometimes He gave us another chance. We saw tears running down some faces as the truth and the Holy Spirit touched there hearts.
We are now on our way to Varinasi, the most “holy city” of India. We have met a couple of missionaries of that area but we also know that this city is the most dangerous city in India, regarding crime and sicknesses because of the filth, etc.
Please pray for “Divine Appointments” and for guidance regarding Tibet. We have a prompting to go there.
We desire to fulfill the call of Mark 16:15 to “Go onto the entire world and preach the Gospel” and we also desire for you to fulfill that call as well. Your donation will aid us as we preach the Gospel in remote and unreached areas, impact others who will in turn impact others who will impact all generations worldwide with the truth and power of the Gospel. All gifts, great or small, will be appreciated.
