Dear Brothers and Sisters

It has been a great month in Israel. Since we arrived we have met many people from all over the world. We stood in amazement of how many Christians and Christian organizations are based in Israel to help, support and comfort the Jewish people. We have been privileged to get shared accommodation just outside of Jerusalem, but we are looking for closer accommodation due to the fact that our transport takes us an hour to an hour and a half to town and the same time back.

We have realized that many of the religious Jews are extremely sincere and love God intensely. The Jewish people are not shy or ashamed of their faith and will read the Torah and also pray anywhere and at any time without wanting to be seen.

We had some marvelous opportunities to preach the Gospel to Jews and non-Jews and ministered and inspired individuals, home cells and organizations with the realness and awesomeness of the Lord Jesus Christ in our lives, the past 2 years in Africa. In one instant after laying hands on a Ukrainian lady (Victoriya), the Lord Jesus healed her. She had tremendous pain in her leg for more than a year, but Jesus’ faithfulness shows since it has been 2 weeks now that she can jump up and down now and live a normal life. We know this had nothing to do with us, but her faith and His faithfulness healed her. We give You the Glory, Lord Jesus.

We went to the Sea of Galilee for nearly a week with many other Christians and Messianic Jews to preach the Gospel at a yearly New-age festival. The festival was only for 3 days but we had to help setting everything up 3 days prior to the event. This was hard work and then we had to stand guard at night. There were approximately 15 000 young people who went there for the Friday, Saturday and Sunday to “Enjoy life”. We found with most of these Jews, whom we shared the Gospel with, that they are ignorant or has been indoctrinated that Jesus is not their Messiah. Many seeds have been planted and some have come to the knowledge of Christ over this festival period.

We are presently preparing a round trip through Israel for not so much as sight-seeing, but as to experience the historical evidence of the Bible. We have never in our wildest dreams imagined that there were so many infallible evidence of the Word of God. This trip will not take us longer than a week to 2 weeks, and then we would like to seek God’s face regarding the next phase of our lives. We do believe that we have direction in our spirits, but we are really looking for confirmation from the Lord. We also know that we are in another season of our lives and would like to be more sensitive to the new preparation period of this season by the awesomeness and gentleness of the Precious Holy Spirit.

We pray and ask the Lord to help us to be more faithful, determent and with integrity seeking to do what we need to do in Israel. Sincerely, before God we cry out as we feel very helpless and desperate many times concerning the language barrier and not being as active as in our Africa season but know that He sees our hearts. So many times sitting in a bus or walking down the street a cry will come out of our deepest being with physical tears running down our cheeks in the desperation of not being able to touch the lives of those around us and then believing that the prayer that we then pray will have the effectiveness of the words that needs to be spoken.

Brothers and sisters, we are so spoilt to experience Him, His Word and realness but I truly sense His tears and pain for so many lost souls in the world today and His earnest longing for us all not to concentrate on all our little problems but on what is important for Him….then our problems will fall by the way side. Life is not about us but all about Him. Remember, people is the only thing that you can take with you to heaven. The opportunities that we miss to plant a Seed in people means eternity in heaven or hell for them!!!!!! There might not be another opportunity for that precious person to hear the truth…to set him or her free.
