His father, Len du Preez, brought him up in the Word. Jono says that he went to "Len's Bible School" all his life. He has always been adventurous, always exploring. When his calling became clear at the age of 20, he got excited and, just like his father, left everything to fulfill the calling on his life.

He is prepared to set off to the remote and unknown regions of the earth to bring the Good News to all who have never heard the name of Jesus, it is his only dream. He often says, "Lets stop talking and start walking." Jono has sufficient camera knowledge gained from the well known Hollywood Cameraman/ Producer/Director/ Actor/ Sound Engineer Christo Loots.

In Jono's opinion, success is not determined by how much you own and how much you have accomplished, but success is determined by how many lives have been changed by your own. Before they stepped out to serve God he often said, "Lets stop talking and start walking!"
